Description
Located in the lovely village of Tinjan, in the beautiful countryside, with many oak-trees, colourful meadows and valleys, we are offering this nicely reconstructed original Istrian stone house. This area is especially rich with limestone, which can be seen from the way houses are built, traditionally, of stone, fenced in by big stone garden walls providing peace and privacy.
The property has a 450 sqm garden with a swimming pool of about 20 sqm and a small house with a fireplace and storage room. There is also a spacious parking place in the garden.
The house was completely reconstructed with all new water and electricity installations. It has a total living area of 120 sqm spread over 2 floors. The ground floor comprises an open plan living room with kitchen/dining room and a bathroom. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. There are also terraces on both floors.
About Porec:
Porec is a port and tourist resort town on the western coast of Istria. The peninsula represents the natural border of the town in which remains of the Roman architecture can be found even today. Landscape is formed of predominantly low and tame limestone plain situated between the Mirna valley in the north and the Limski Kanal Fjord in the south.
The climate is extremely mild, free of oppressive summer heat; an average air temperature in August, the warmest month, reaches 24 °C and in January 4.5 °C. The average annual rainfall of 920 mm is equally distributed all over the year, supporting luxuriant vegetation; forests of pines and stone pine reach the sea in places. Chief occupations include farming, viniculture, olive growing, fruit growing, fishing and tourism.
The old part of the town is situated on a small peninsula separated from the mainland by an artificial canal, and protected from the maritime influences by the island of St. Nicholas, distinguished by its rocky and sand beaches. There is a bathing beach and a large campsite.
