Baosici is a village near the entrance of the Kotor bay, only 12 km east of the tourist resort centre of Herceg Novi and has 1.080 inhabitants. There are few legends as to the origin of its name. Czar Dusan’s Chart from 1351 mentions the name Baošle.

Baosici is near Herceg Novi (10 km), Kotor (15 km), Budva (35 km), Sveti Stefan (45 km), Dubrovnik-Croatia (55 km) and Zabljak/Durmitor (150 km). Most of these places are easily accessible by (cheap) public transport. The nearest airports are Dubrovnik airport in Cilipi near Cavtat (30 km) and Tivat Airport in Montenegro (15 km).
St. Nicola (Built in the 16th century around 1550) is considered a sacral monument. Sports clubs include the Sports Association »JOVO DABOVIĆ«, a water polo club »BOKELJ« and an Association for scuba diving and sports hunting »RIBAR«. This town has an outdoor swimming pool as well.
