About Lepetane:
Lepetane is a lovely village which lies in an idyllic place protected from the North wind. It is ideally located about 5km from the International airport in Tivat. During the Middle Ages Lepetane was called “The Place of Saint Lovrienec” for the church which existed there and which is connected to a legend of three brothers - saints: Andria, Peter and Lovrienec. The parochial church of St. Anton (from the 18th century) boasts an altar picture by the Tiepollo school.

“Lepetane” got its current name because of the nicknames of some Perast families (“Lepetanus”) which owned land in this area. There are several famous people who were born in Lepetane, such as the famous statesman Lazar Tomamovic, the sculptor Luka Tomamovic, professor Spiro Tomamovic, another statesman, Milutin Tomamovic, etc. The people of Lepetane have always been great seafarers. Captain Marko Tomanovic in 1827 won a ship battle against Turkish invaders.
