Crescent Heights is located on the north side of the city of Medicine Hat, on the hill above the river valley, north of the South Saskatchewan river and Riverside area.
Crescent Heights is close to work for many Hatters, since it is within a few minutes' drive of the Brier Park light industrial area which is home to Goodyear Canada Inc, Moduline Industries, Canadian Fertilizers Ltd, Cancarb Ltd, Criterian Catalyst and Technologies, Relizon Canada, Indepor Inc, Landmark Feeds, among others.
Convenient amenities include a Co-op and Safeway for grocery shopping and not far from the new Costco shopping center, CIBC and Community Savings for banking, Boylan Pharmave and Crescent Heights IDA for pharmacy needs, the Crescent Heights Family Medical Clinic offers many family physicians, there are assorted restaurants nearby, plus much more which you can see here ![]()
A recent addition to Crescent Heights is The Medicine Hat Family Leisure Centre , located on 23 hectares (57 acres). The $17.3 million state of the art facility includes a 50 metre multipurpose pool, a wave pool, swirl pool, children's pool, steam room and the "Rip-n-Rattler" water slide. Located in the same building is a 100' x 200' hockey rink along with a variety of meeting rooms, entertainment rooms and food concession. Outside activities have not been forgotten at the Centre as it boasts three regulation size soccer pitches, one premier (lighted) sports field for football/soccer/rugby and four high quality ball diamonds. Other available recreation include the Medicine Hat Golf & Country Club , Police Point Park [400 acre natural woodland park], and many other smaller neighbourhood parks scattered throughout.
Schools in the area include public schools Vincent Massey (Kindergarten to Grade 6), Webster Niblock (Kindergarten to Grade 6) and Crescent Heights High (Grade 7 to Grade 12 ) and Catholic schools St. Francis Xavier (Kindergarten to Grade 6), St. Michael's (Kindergarten to Grade 6) and McCoy High (Grade 9 to Grade 12).
