Silver Star

The community of Silver Star Mountain is a very unique one. Imagine living in a Provincial Park! Well you can (sort of) at Silver Star. In actuality - the resort is like the hole in a donut - surrounded by Silver Star Provincial Park.

What makes Silver Star extremely attractive as a place to live is its proximity to the nearby City of Vernon BC. Only about  22km (or 10 miles) of paved road lie between this recreation rich resort and downtown.

Silver Star was the first interior resort to expand to offer summer recreation opportunties - and has been steadily adding to its summer and winter product mix over the last 25 years.  Skiing started in an organized way at Silver Star in 1959.

Initial real estate development at Silver Star was in the form of Steiner Arch cabins - in a small "Cabin Colony" that still stands today- near the heart of the village. In the mid 1980's under new ownership, Silver Star Mountain Resort began to develop single family lots at the entrance to the village - and then followed with the creation of "The Knoll" which also brought the first multifamily  offering of Silverqueen Mews and The Grandview townhomes.
