The village of Cordova Bay is where I live. It's a great family area, with a mixture of newer and older homes, a small village-type strip along scenic Cordova Bay, and located east of Elk & Beaver Lakes and north of Broadmead. This quaint community, on the northern edge of the City of Victoria, is easily accessible and close to all amenities
At the northern end of Cordova Bay Road is Matticks Farm, a gathering place for coffee and shopping. You can find boutique-style shops, a popular tea garden/restaurant, wine store, fruit market, ice cream stand, miniature golf and a beautiful outdoor patio area.
The Cordova Bay area boasts three Golf Clubs: Cordova Bay GC, The Ridge and Royal Oak GC. View the Ridge GC . Nearby Elk Lake is a popular training area for Canada’s world class rowing teams, and The is surrounded by a 10 km hiking trail. There are safe public beaches at both ends of the Lake.
The Broadmead Village Centre is the commercial shopping core for residents of Cordova Bay, Royal Oak and Broadmead. The area was originally developed by the famous Guinness family, who also developed the British Properties in West Vancouver.
Nearby Rithet’s Bog is home to a wide variety of birds and butterflies and has a delightful walking trail of 2.8 km. You can view the history of Rithet's Bog here.
The Cordova Bay area is served by School District #63.
