This community is nestled between Waverly in the east, Shaftesbury Blvd and the Assiniboine Forest in the west, Wilkes Ave in the south, and the Assiniboine River in the north.

The area is close to downtown, with out the hustle and bustle, close to the city’s best parks, and also easily accessible to the airport to the northwest.

River Heights is home to many young professionals, executives and media personalities. Old River Heights, north of Corydon was developed between 1900 and 1940, while the area south of Corydon was built after 1940. The area’s older attractive homes are well maintained, and the ones north of Corydon tend to be in short supply, though the area south of Corydon tends to have more homes for sale. Homes in this area sell for a wide range from $180,000 up to $1 million.

During the summer months, Wellington Crescent closes to vehicle traffic to allow families to travel on rollerblades, and bike or on foot safely.  Come June, the Winnipeg Marathon route travels through this prestigeous neighbourhood.
