Portland Estates, as well as more recent Portland Hills is a community nestled in the eastern part of Dartmouth in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. It reaches from Eisener Blvd. in the west, all the way to Portland Hills in the east, and is located to the south of Portland Street (Route 207). One of the newest subdivisions in Dartmouth, it is also one of the most exclusive. The residents include doctors, lawyers, businessmen, government workers, and tradespeople. The neighborhood is mostly upper middle class, however, it does contain middle class housing as well.
