Southdale

One of the interesting things about 'neighbourhoods' developed in the Halifax area is that prior to the 1980's neighbourhoods often represented less than 100 homes. In recent years, the Southdale neighbourhood seems to have grown larger in the minds of Dartmouth residents because it has such a convenient, desirable location.

Located on the west slope facing the harbour, Southdale enjoys (especially in winter) wonderful sunsets and a view of the harbour and the Halifax downtown. Located minutes from the Halifax-Dartmouth Ferry, and served by multiple, public transit routes most Southdale residents can walk and/or ride to work or school (Universities, Community College, public school).

I lived in the edge of Southdale for 20 years and consider myself a fan!
