Cap Cana

Cap Cana is one of the most important real estate and tourism destinations in the Caribbean, is blessed with extraordinary natural beauty and is located adjacent to the Punta Cana International Airport, making it supremely desirable and easily accessible.  One of the largest projects under development in the Caribbean, Cap Cana boasts over 37,000 acres of prime real estate.  Fueled by local and foreign investments Cap Cana is scheduled to be fully completed in a series of developmental stages over the next 10 years.

Cap Cana is more beautiful than words can describe. From the moment you enter the resort you begin to experience elevated luxury. The sand along Cap Cana’s shoreline is amazingly soft and powder white. Your feet sink into the sand as you stroll on the beach. The ocean has countless shades of blue, green and turquoise. Waves gently break 200 feet off shore over a natural coral reef barrier. The sky is so big and so blue, and the palm trees very green and very majestic. Cap Cana is the perfect union of land, sea and sky.

The beach at Cap Cana is simply fabulous. 5 miles of pure white sand beach make up the coast of Cap Cana. Palm trees with coconuts reach out towards the sky, and the breeze never stops. There are few beaches on Earth more beautiful than the beach at Cap Cana.

Golf at Cap Cana will consist of three Jack Nicklaus Signature courses. The first, Punta Espada, will be the first and only PGA certified golf course in the Dominican Republic. With nine of its eighteen holes directly on the Caribbean Sea, this course will both challenge your skills and move your emotions.

Tourism today is the Dominican Republic's primary industry. The country offers a wide choice of accommodations at city, mountain and beach resorts and hotels. Palm-fringed beaches, adventure sports, casinos, year-round events and a rich history and culture, as well as its greatest asset - the hospitable Dominican people, make this country a prime vacation spot for Europeans, North Americans and Latin Americans. Tourism is concentrated in the coastal beach towns to the north, east, southeast, southwest and in the capital city of Santo Domingo. However, there has been an explosion of ecotourism in the interior of the country, with a multiplicity of excursions offering hiking, caving, biking through mountains and countryside. Tourism was up over 12% last year which was prompted by increased international advertising.  In addition, the international community is prompting development of more permanent living arrangements on the island.  The country has been long discovered by the European community where many French, German, and Italians come to buy a second home.  Luxury living with full accommodations and services in a controlled, community environment is a huge opportunity.  This includes access to grocery and retail shopping, bars, restaurants, golfing, tennis, and other sports as well as medical, banking, education, and legal services.

The Schools

The primary language in the public schools is Spanish.  Private schools normally teach in English, but they are bilingual and kids from all over the world are enrolled.  There are private schools in or near every major city on the island.  Schools which are accredited by the Dominican Ministry of Education offer certificates which are valid for entrance to Dominican, European, and U.S. universities.
