HISTORY OF BAJAMAR

Bajamar was conceived in 1975, by Grupo Valcas, a Mexican Real Estate Development conglomerate, when the first phase of the 36-hole golf course was created along with construction of the first homes.  Grupo Valcas ran the gauntlet obtaining permits and creating the master infrastructure.  In 1991, Grupo Valcas joint-ventured with a major hotel-resort developer to develop the remainder of this property.  Most noticeble improvements from this effort are the 81-room hotel adjacent to the clubhouse and the spectacular 9 hole Oceano course.  Today, Bajamar has aproximately 360 homes completed, a 15,000 square foot clubhouse, an extensive network of cobblestone streets and impressive guard gated entry that emits a grand sense of arrival and a reputation that lures five to six thousand golfers monthly to test their abilities against the "Best of Baja."

LOCATION

Bajamar is located forty five miles south of SanDiego / San Ysidro border.  Twenty miles further south of Bajamar is Ensenada, internationally recognized as a tourist resort destination area.  A 1454-Acre green carpet of native fauna and flora species and succulents and the site of a resort/residential community that is on its way second to none.  3.2 miles of land along the sea bordered on the east by the toll road and our own interchange.  Off shore, the Los Coronados Islands frame annual migration of the grey whales, the sailboats and fishing boats pursuing the finest catches available anywhere.  No, you won't miss Bajamar..not with our waterfall entrance...and the security guard at any hour of the day or night to assist and protect.

WEATHER

Bajamar has a mild climate the year around, ranging from 55 degrees in the winter to 80 degrees in the height of summer.  For it's clear skies, beautiful sea, cooling breezes and spicy ground cover are the stuff that makes an escape for the stroller, the whale watcher, the botanist and rock collector, as well as the hard core golfer, tennis freak and those of us who just play and love it.  If body surfing is your thing, La Salina Beach is only three miles away northerly.

CLUB CAMPESTRE BAJAMAR

Our million-dollar clubhouse sits on a knoll dramatizing Bajamar's stunning site.  Enjoy the 360 degree view from the tower that soars over the 28,000 square foot Spanish tile roof with views of land, sea and mountains.  Our dining room, seating 250, provides panoramic views of the golf course and the lake.  Its international menu is an introduction to excellent food and wine, while you will find golf and tennis Pro Shop, saunas, heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and two lighted tennis courts to be of the highest professional quality.

UTILITIES

All homesites are on paved streets with curbs and gutters and fully underground utilities.  Electrical power and potable water from "La Mision" some six miles away.  This infrastructure has been dedicated to Mexican Utility Companies for operation and maintenance.  We have sewage treatment plants provising primary and secondary treatment.  Buttane gas is available from private companies in both Tijuana and Ensenada and water meters as well as trash collectoin are in service.

SHOPPING AND SERVICES

In our opinion, the beaches, hotels, restaurants are excellent and shops are stuffed with genuine Mexican folklore, arts and crafts that complement a modern shopping distruct at free port prices.  The port city of Ensenada is only 30 minutes away with all the conveniences and services of a modern city, supermarkets, banks, medical facilities, and service stations. 

LEGAL PERMITS

Approvals of the Federal Government of Mexico, The State Government of Baja California were obtained to sell Bajamar homesites.  Additionally, title to the land in our residential community is available with policy of title insurance.  Foreign purchasers are offered the convenience of buying homes throught the provision of a renewable 50 year trust.
