The Community    Las Sendas is Spanish for “The Paths.”  This 2,400 acre master planned community was designed for a diverse population of residents of all ages, with various types of residential development, golf course and recreation facilities. One of the community highlights is the Trailhead Members' Club, a 12,000 square-foot Tuscan-style multi-purpose facility. An upscale facility featuring state-of-the-art fitness center, Saguaro Cactusheated pool, lighted tennis courts. With several banquet and conference rooms as well as a sprawling patio taking in the exquisite view of East Valley city lights, it provides a very scenic location for those special social and community events.  

Las Sendas is bordered on the East and North by the scenic beauty of the Usery Mountains and the Tonto National Forest. This popular National Forest covers nearly 3 million acres, much of which is lush Sonoran Desert.  Boating enthusiasts need only drive 12 miles north on Bush Highway to find the first in a chain of crystal clear lakes. Pine Country, with such towns as Payson, Pine and Strawberry, is just a 90-minute drive and offers cool forests and inviting lakes and streams for a multitude of recreational activities.

Schools 
Las Sendas Elementary School, located within the community, is one of the Valley's highest-regarded elementary schools offering excellent teachers and facilities. Students in grades K-6 can enjoy programs like orchestra, band, computer and video clubs.  For grades 7-9,  Fremont Junior High School offers an outstanding education program and has been rated "Excelling" by the Arizona Dept. of Education.  And Red Mountain High School is one of the top schools in the district, offering excellent academic and sports programs, including baseball, football, basketball, soccer and golf.

Golf Course   Las Sendas' highly-rated 18-hole championship public golf course was designed by Las Sendas Golfthe renowned Robert Trent Jones II.  With a slope of 136, it integrates the natural desert landscape and offers a world-class challenging yet playable golf experience. The pro shop is located in the clubhouse along with the Las Sendas Grill, a popular dining spot featuring indoor and outdoor seating with spectacular views of the valley below. Las Sendas residents enjoy preferred tee times and generous green fee discounts.  

Other Amenities   The Las Sendas Tennis Center features two separate upscale tennis areas. The largest consists of four private courts including a grass-sloped stadium-style court. The smaller tennis center consists of two courts adjacent to the fitness center.   The Boulder Trailhead ClubMountain Swim Center provides a heated play pool / lap pool, a separate children's wading pool and a luxurious spa with scenic views.  The Trailhead Members Club offers an Olympic style heated pool with lap lanes and a separate kiddie area. 

Throughout the community you can find lighted basketball courts, Las Sendas Means Trailslighted volleyball courts, large grassy play areas, softball or soccer fields for daytime play, play stations, and swing areas for children, covered ramadas, barbecue grills, as well as walking and biking areas.  The entire community is traversed by miles of natural-desert and hard-surface pathways for walking, biking, or rollerblading while providing access to recreation areas and the elementary school.  Some trails lead to Tonto National Forest, along Las Sendas' northern boundary.
