The Cornville, Az area is a study in contrasts. Largely rural, it is nonetheless home to the Verde Valley's largest master planned community, the Brookfield Communities at the Verde Santa Fe Golf Course, with over 900 homes.

 The sleepy little town of Cornville perches along Cornville Road, and consists mainly of a Post Office, one gas station, a restaurant, a bakery, a  Cornville Mercantile & Feed, and a  charming small park. As far as the Sedona-Verde Valley Multiple Listing Service is concerned, the Cornville area includes several other small communities in the area, including Casey's Corner and Page Springs.

As of October 3, 2006, there are 175 active and pending Residential Listings, ranging in price from a modest starter home priced at $49,900  to a $3,457,000 creek-front property surrounded by Forest Service on three sides!

Over the last six months Residential sales have ranged from $34,000 for a small moble home on up to $1,600,000 for a gorgeous horse property with a Lindal Cedar Home on water and bordering State land.

Active and pending Vacant Land Listings currently range from $27,500 for a tiny lot across from Oak Creek to $1,990,000 for a spectacular 15+ acre parcel overlooking the Oak Creek greenbelt area of Page Springs, the Fish Hatchery, Vineyards, and with panoramic views of the Mingus Mountains. It is still possible to buy land to build your dream home for in the neighborhood of $100,000 - $150,000 an acre, and it is still possible to find larger parcels (very difficult in nearby Sedona)!

The twenty Vacant Land sales over the last six months ranged from $16,250 for a tiny lot with some views on up to $425,000 for 3.76 acres on the creek.
