La Quinta Cove

The La Quinta Cove, tucked away in a cove surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains, is undergoing a resurgence and is experiencing a flurry of new home construction and existing remodeling and upgrading by current homeowners. A very short drive to the village of La Quinta, La Quinta Resort, Olde Towne, restaurants and golfing. Or walk the cove's perimeter path and hike the natural trails at the top of the cove.

The origianl cove casitas were modeled after the nearby historic La Quinta Hotel. There is an intimate relationship to the environment with a hand crafted nature. Patios, archways, and some beams exposed or slightly vaulted ceilings help give a sense of informality and warmth. The original tiles were made locally by Joe Valenzuela Roof Company located next to the La Quinta Hotel. Valenzuela also made the roof tiles for the Hotel using local clay.
