Rancho Peñasquitos

Rancho Peñasquitos (PQ for short) is located in the City of San Diego in an area known as in North County San Diego. With a population of about 54,000, its a well established neighborhood nestled within rolling hills and mountains... one of which is Black Mountain which rises to 1,500 ft.

As shown in the map above, PQ has excellent freeway access with the north-south 15 that gets you to downtown San Diego in about 25 minutes when there is no traffic. The east-west 56 was recently built and can get you to the beaches at Del Mar in about 15 minutes.

Homes in Rancho Peñasquitos fall within the Poway Unified School District which continually sets the standards for high academic achievement. And when the kids are not in school, the entire family can enjoy several wonderful parks including Hilltop Park (yes the views are amazing from this "hill"), Black Mountain Park, Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, and the PQ Skate Park.
