South Venice

South Venice beach is a community in Venice Florida just south of Sarasota on the west coast of Florida.  South Venice Beach is the largest subdivision in Sarasota County with over 7,000 homes primarily nestled between Lemon Bay and Tamiami Trail.  The community's most unique asset is a deeded 1,300 foot beachfront property on the Gulf of Mexico, plus a  ferry and boat launch for the benefit of the Greater South Venice Community;  not to mention an "Old Florida" feeling among the streets and parks.  The subdivision is managed through the South Venice Civic Association and the beach properties are held within the South Venice Beach Endowment Trust.

The community is non-deed restricted-----so boat and RV owners won't have to pay more for storage.  Most of the properties in South Venice Beach have wells & septic tanks.  Typical lot sizes are 80 feet wide by 100 feet deep, however there are many homes with double lots or oversized properties. 

South Venice Beach is also home to numerous parks such as Shamrock Park pictured to the left.  Shamrock Park is a well known pride of South Venice Beach and Sarasota County with its tennis & basketball courts, club house, plus nature walks along Alligator Creek & the Intracoastal Waterway such as the Venetian Trail and nature walks within the Lemon Bay Preserve.

Passes for the Ferry can be purchased at the Landing Dock from our Captains or our Adminstration Offices located at 720 Alligator Drive, South Venice SVCA

Yearly Ferry passes are $75.00   -  Monthly passes are $20.00

You can purchase a Ramp Key from our administration office.   It is valid for one year due each January.  The price is $75.00
