Palos Park

Palos Park is a quaint, quiet community partially surrounded by and included between forest preserves. Trees and land are the sacred mantras of most of the residents of this village. The area is very irregularly bordered by Rt. 83 on the north, 127th on the south, somewhere between Will-Cook and Wolf roads on the west and 80th avenue on the east. There are several neighborhoods that border the village, yet are unincorporated. The surrounding municipalites include Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Lemont, Lockport and Orland Park.

The elementary school district is Palos Community Consolidated School District 118 .

The high school district is Consolidated High School District 230 .
   Most of the community is within the boundaries of Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, although there is a small area in the 'option zone'.

The community is also served by a number of private elementary and high schools.

Moraine Valley Community College is a local institution with a variety of services too large to list. Their mission statement includes general education, transfer programs, career training and a wonderful variety of community and enrichment and development.
