Victor is quaint community of about 859 people, with several antique and craft shops. the Victor Civic Club boasts the Annual Chief Victor Days, featuring arts and crafts, vendors, re-enactments and much, much more to give you the flavor of a charming small town. Victor is unincorporated and it's elevation is 3404 feet.
History
In the mid 1860's, A.Sterne Blake and his Shoshone wife came to the Valley and were among the original founders of Victor. Mr. Blake was the first elected State Legislator for Missoula County. At the time Victor was part of Missoula County. Victor was originally platted as Garfield, after President James Garfield, but was later named Victor after Chief Victor of the Salish Tribe.
