Fernley has a diverse housing market that has something for everyone. Your choices range from entry-level homes starting in the $140,000 range all the way up to finely appointed homes in the $400,000 plus range. In keeping with Fernley's rural lifestyle, there are homes on one to five acre lots that are zoned for horses. And for pilots, there are plans approved for taxiway home sites at Tiger Field, the local airport. Since incorporating in July 2001, Fernley's City Council has adopted a community master plan. This master plan carefully facilitates the growing industrial parks with residential, educational and recreational facilities required to provide an economically stable community. The Fernley Builders Association works very closely with the City to ensure that home values and rural lifestyles are maintained. Additionally, Fernley presents excellent opportunities for the renter. Houses, townhomes, and apartments (many brand new) are available as well. Rents are comparably lower than the Reno market beginning at just $600 a month.
Fernley is located in Northwestern Nevada 33 miles East of the Reno-Sparks metropolitan area. Situated on Interstate 80 at the intersection of U.S. Highway's 40, 50 and alternate 95.
