Secaucus

In 2008, Secaucus was voted #11 on NJ Monthly's List of Top 100 Places to live in NJ. Secaucus has a new recreation center that has recently opened that is state of the art but the town still has the quaint appeal of "yester year" in other ways. The new recreation center has an indoor pool, gym, a track to walk around with open views, and classes  (i.e spin & yoga classes).

During the summer the town has free concerts in the park and during the holidays they have the tree lighting with a petting zoo for kids, free food, drinks (i.e hot chocolate, etc.)and Santa Claus, of course. There are  numerous activities for children as well as adults. During the winter months the  ice rink is open for residents to skate as well as take lessons in case you don't.  There are a variety of parks throughout the town for all to enjoy including a skate park.  The ice rink is also used during Halloween for "cabbage" or "mischief" night. We also have a town pool that kids love with the huge slide and diving board. The "kiddie" pool has waterfall "mushrooms" that kids love going through on those hot summer days.

Secaucus is located within close proximity to NYC. You can commute easily via train or bus.

Secaucus has two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Also, one catholic  elementary school. Good schools within good neighborhoods. For people with younger children there are several day care centers throughout the town as well as one that is run by the town, Secaucus Day Care Center.
