Chili

The Town of Chili, located in Monroe County, is a suburb of Rochester, New York. Chili is a community primarily in the geographic area north of Black Creek and a rural agricultural character south of Black Creek. Chili has a variety or recreational areas including eight town parks, one county park, two museums, a disc golf course, a public nature area, two semi-private golf courses, and two boat launches - one on the Genesee River and one on Black Creek. Classical Orchestra and theatrical performances are offered by Roberts Wesleyan College in the 1,000 seat Hale Auditorium located in the hamlet of North Chili. Each year the town's annual summer festival, the 'Chil-E Fest' draws thousands of people to entertainment, food vendors, and a fabulous fireworks display.

Chili has experienced steady and manageable growth in population and economic development during recent years. From 1990 to 2000 Chili's population grew by 10 percent. Economic growth in 2000 and 2001 yielded a $70 million increase in the town tax base.
