Jonathan Creek

Jonathan Creek North Carolina located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and is in Haywood County. Jonathan Creek NC is named after the creek that flows within its boundaries. This creek which offers great trout fishing was named after Jonathan McPeters.

Jonathan Creek (Township) boundaries include the mountains of Utah and Cataloochee, and is also  bordered by Iron Duff, White Oak, and Ivy Hill. During the past two decades several new residential communities have been added to what was considered a farming community. This beautiful township that is famous for its mountain views is located off I-40 at exit 20 and is twenty miles from Tennessee and Asheville NC.

The locals often call Jonathan Creek, J-Creek. Some of the mountain tops within J-Creek will allow you to see Pisgah and the famous Cold Mountain. From the valley in J-Creek you will be able to look up and see Purchase Knob and the ski slopes of Cataloochee. The postal address for this area is Waynesville, NC.

The home for sale is on Aerial Ridge  in the Cataloochee Mountain Estates neighborhood and the land for sale is on (Cloud Ridge) Observation Point in the Mountain Lake Forest neighborhood. The first three pictures are from Aerial Ridge Road looking east across the northern part of the Jonathan Creek area and the fourth picture is looking north from Observation Point (Cloud Ridge) and shows a large part of the valley in Jonathan Creek.

The land for building a home  on in the Jonathan Creek area starts around $19,900 and goes up to $359,000 for a beautiful ridgetop lot the along Cataloochee Mountain. The median price for a lot in the Jonathan Creek area is $58,000. Ridgetop lots for building a home with long range mountain views start at around $59,000.
