What’s your pleasure? In Florence you can stroll along the shops in Old Town. Stop for a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants or get an ice cream cone to eat as you walk along the dock. Feeling adventurous? Take a ride on the dunes. Either in your own dune buggy or a group ride in one of the big buggies. Check out the new books in our beautiful library or visit the past with a  walk through the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum. Check the schedule at the Florence Events Center. A concert or play might be fun. Florence hosts several special events, including Blues, Brews and Chowder, the Rhododendron Festival and Rods and Rhody’s. The Fourth of July is celebrated by shooting fireworks over the Siuslaw River. Got the acting bug? Check into the Last Resort Players or the Heritage Players. The Elks, the Moose and the Kiwanis are all here. If you’re a fisherman, there are several lakes, the Siuslaw River and the ocean to choose from. If none of this sounds appealing, it’s hard to be a sunset on the beach.
