The Meadowcroft subdivision is a neighborhood located in Sumter County, approximately 6 miles southeast of Shaw and 4 miles southwest of Sumter. The area is comprised of about 330 acres. Currently, there are approximately 190 homes with room for expansion up to approximately 250 homes.  

This beautiful neighborhood was once the family farmland of the Croft family. Mr. Croft sold this parcel of land to developers and while a few homes were built in the late 90’s, the development really began to blossom in 2000. Wide, well manicured streets wind their way back and around the area, showcasing the large, contemporary ranch homes with high pitched rooflines and a variety of brick colors. Homes are nestled on spacious half acre (plus) landscaped lots, many dappled with mature trees and shrubbery.

Meadowcroft is governed by a very active and involved Home Owners Association. The elected officers and members of the association maintain the common areas as well as ensure the integrity of the the covenants and restrictions. They are also interested in considering new ideas to improve the neighborhood.
