Montrose

Montrose is a culturally diversed neighborhood of Houston, Texas, which is situated near downtown.  A vibrant part of Houston's artistic community, Montrose has a mixture of both homes and businesses.  This area is one of the most pedestrian friendly part of town with sidewalk lined streets.  Homes date back to the early 1900's with Bungalow style homes, cottages and renovated mansions.  There are many new townhomes/condos that have also given this area a fresh look.  Montrose is home to the largest gay and lesbian community in the Houston area.  However, the neighborhood is seeing more and more empty nesters moving into the neighborhood to enjoy the relax and casual way of life surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city around.
