I have lived in West Haven Utah for the past 5 years and in Utah most of my life.  West Haven became incorporated in July of 1991.  The city was formed to keep a rural community with orderly growth.  The eastern end of the city is zoned commercial and many businesses are located there.  The population is approximately 7-8000. Mostly living in rural areas, although there are some new townhomes available as well.  The real estate market has been very good in this area!  West Haven has been very good at budgeting and there are no city property taxes! 

The climate is good with many sunny days!  There are plenty of parks to spend your days enjoying the good weather! 

In 1994, 40 acres of property was purchased at 2827 West 3300 South, West Haven, UT. This marked the planting of the seed and gateway to harvesting the first West Haven City Park. With a continuous vision and the support of each West Haven City Mayor and Council Member, the seed was nurtured and soon a solid foundation emerged. Today we have a beautiful park that has become the hub for family reunions, rodeo's, riding clubs, children playing on safe equipment while others participate in t-ball, baseball, softball, soccer, basketball and football.

 

There’s the annual Easter Egg Hunt and West Haven Heritage Day Celebration complete with the best fireworks show around. People come from all over to hold their events in our city park. There is a long waiting list for the use of our upscale arena.

The schools are great!  There are Rocky Junior High, Country View Elementary, West Haven Elementary, Steven's Henager College and a new Charter School!  The High School is Freemont High.  They can all be found on Weber School Districts Website. www.weber.k12.ut.us/

The crime rate is low and the neighbors are friendly!  When you look at the data provided it is using the 84401 zip code to get the information.  The zip code encompasses a much larger area.  West Haven is rural and friendly and still has shopping nearby!  Located west of Ogden and approximately 35 miles from Salt Lake City.  Hill Air Force Base is probably about 5 miles away.

Don't forget you are looking at Utah with some of the best skiing on earth!  The mountains are also great in the summer time for camping, hiking and boating.  Utah has more National Parks then any other state!  What a great place to live!
