Presidential Lakes

Presidential Lakes is located in rural King George County, Virginia, just minutes from historical Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Featuring a broad spectrum of home possibilities from affordable basic ramblers to large lakeside homes and new construction.  Close to schools, shopping and employment opportunities,  Presidential Lakes is a gated community with a private road system, Lakeside beach and pavilion, basketball court and play ground.

There are three lakes in the community, Lake Madison, Lake Monroe and Lake Jefferson offering fishing and non-powered boating opportunities.  The pavilion has a picnic and swimming area.

The area is deeply steeped in history and tradition.  Washington's Birthplace, Washington's Boyhood Home, Stratford Hall (the Lee family's plantation home), historical Fredericksburg and many other destinations are within minutes of Presidential Lakes.  For nature lovers Caledon State park and Westmoreland State park are both with a few minutes drive.  Popular riverside towns like Colonial Beach offer many activities from parades, fireworks displays, boat shows, cars shows, art shows to a variety of restaurants serving seafood fare from the local waters.

King George County is the northern most county of the Northern Neck Region.  With the Rappahannock River on the western side, the Potomac River on the eastern side, and an endless myriad of pristine tidal creeks and tributaries, boating, fishing and crabbing are popular pastimes.

In the fall, hunter orange caps are very popular.  The region's healthy game population consists of whitetail deer, wild turkey, squirrel and other small game, waterfowl and varmint.

King George County's my employer is the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Dahlgren (NSWC).  Other nearby military installations include Patuxent River, Indian Head, Quantico, A.P. Hill, Andrew AFB and many others.  A number of government contractors employ a significant workforce in the area.
