Kempsville

Kempsville is located to the west side of Virginia Beach.  Kempsville, established in 1781 originally called Kemps Landing, was a pre-Revolutionary War village on the Elizabeth river.  It has evolved to become a centrally located community midway between the beach ocean front and downtown Norfolk, and between the Chesapeak Bay and the North Carolina state line.  It features the first city recreation center facility, shopping centers, lakes, many attractive neighborhoods, library, and restaurants. Because of its central location and quick access to I64 and I264, Kempsville boasts convenience and comfortable living.
