South Hill

Spokane’s very desirable South Hill is truly a fabulous location to live.  With a variety of housing available from classic historic homes to new developments, your home can be found here.  South Hill neighborhoods are notable for tree lined streets, great schools and friendly neighbors.  Ferris High School and Lewis and Clark High School constantly rank in the top high schools in the nation.

The relaxed lifestyle of Spokane’s South Hill is unmistakable after a walk through historic Manito Park designed by the Olmstead brothers in the 1900’s.  The park features the Duncan Garden,   Gaiser  Conservatory,  a perennial garden and the Nishinomiya Japanese Garden (Nishinomiya is Spokane’s sister city in Japan), a beautiful duck pond , a Picnic Shelter set up with big barbeques and playgrounds close by for the kids to enjoy.  There are 2 other large parks – Comstock which has a pool – plus Cannon Hill.  They  are all within a short stroll of each other.  All the parks have lots of room to play or just sit, relax and perhaps read a book.

Any morning, afternoon and evening you will find runners along Manito Boulevard – a tree lined street with historic Craftsman style homes or along High Drive which overlooks Hangman Valley.  Some evenings you may just  see a glider taking off from that hillside.

The South Hill provides many recreational opportunities for biking, hiking, soccer and  golf,  or just a leisurely stroll with the family pooch.   Qualchan  Hills, Hangman Valley and Manito Golf & Country Club are just 3 of the many golf courses within minutes of your home.
