Description
This historic building is the last existing building of The Old Hermitage Hotel that was located on the East Shore of Lake Bonaparte. In the days before electricity the ice harvested from the lake in the winter would be stored in this structure for summer use. In more recent years this 20` x 40` building was used as The Ice House gift shop and featured ice cream and souvenirs during the summer months. It has a number of possible uses for the new owner. With electricity, a good drilled well, and a compost toilet this property could easily be utilized again as a commercial business. The lot that it is on has been surveyed and contains .54 acres. It has its own tax map #. There is an adjacent parcel of about 8.5 acres that is mostly wooded and has roads that access it but presently has no buildings on it. This property also has electricity and could be used as building sites for someone who wants to be near the lake. This property has its own tax map #. These two adjacent properties are being sold as one offering. Lake Bonaparte was once the summer home of Joseph Bonaparte, the King of Spain. The 1407 acre Bonaparte`s Cave State Forest is nearby and the 326 acre Sand Bay State Forest borders the North Shore of this large and beautiful lake.
